The Pine Deluxe Turbo Tent
I find it interesting that when you go to the national parks, you find that most people are staying in a tailgate
camping style of campsite yet living in backpacking style of tent.
These Turbo Tents made by Black Pine are much roomier than backpacking style of tents.

You can stand in these tents, put cots in these tents, hang up an electric lantern on the inside so everyone can see, play,
or read as they wish. This is like bringing your kids bedroom with you. In the six person tent, we are able to get two king
sized cots and one regular sized cot fitting comfortably on the inside and still have room to change your clothes
and stow your gear.

Freestander Turbo Tent
The Freestander tents are very similar to the Pine Deluxe tents. The Pine Deluxe is made of a canvas
ripstop, and the Freestander is made of nylon ripstop; therfore the Pine Deluxe is more heavy duty and
more durable. Also the fly's are totally different. With the pine deluxe, you have to stake out the fly.
With the freestander, it is not necessary to stake out the fly, you just have to attach it to the tent.
Otherwise, the two tents are virtually identical.

Kelty Crestone 1 Person 3 Season Tent
The Crestone tent by Kelty is a very good three season tent for the solo backpacker. The base tent is a combination of nylon ripstop and mesh with a flooring or polyester taffeta. It also come with a fly which attaches to the tent. The fly also provide a vestibule which is best staked out. That DAC poles are good quality and light weight. To tent must be staked into the ground at the front and the back during setup.

Nemo NANO 2 Person 3 Season Tent
This two person tent is designed for space efficiency. This tent uses poles; however, they are only about 18" in length
so they pack up rather small. In fact, I have never seen tents that pack up smaller than these Nemo tents do.
The poles go on the inside of the tent which means less material and less stitching on the tent. Once set up, the poles
fit up real snug with the tent resulting is really tight walls. Inside, the tent feels quite large for a two person tent.
In fact, it feels more like a three person tent because of the roominess; nevertheless, the flooring size does keep it
classified as a two person tent.
Installation is not like most tents. You want to connect the poles and secure them in opposite corners of the inside
of the tent while the arc of the poles is on the outside of the door creating the tent frame on the outside. Then pull
the tent onto the frame. Lastly, attach the velcro to the poles on the inside. Once put together, you will certainly
like the roomy feel and the tightness of the walls.
This is really a top quality backpacking tent.
The Nano Elite is designed for Adventure Racing and is a 4 season tent.
What differentiates the Nano Elite from the Nano is the material it is made from. This tent is for adventure racing where
light weight is more important than breathability and comfort. Since the material is non-breathable, it will tend to be
significantly warmer.
